Speakers - Messina Madson and Kendall Castello, of Madson Castello Law
Madson and Castello have each spent nearly 20 years practicing criminal law and offer a perspective that comes from working as both high-level prosecutors and defense attorneys.
They will conduct an interactive discussion on “Criminal History Records”, and ethical considerations for the criminal records that follow punishment in criminal cases. The presentation looks at the law in Texas and the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, and examines diversion programs, expungements, and non-disclosures. Madson and Castello will discuss the ethics of erasing a person’s criminal history, or choosing not to do so, using real criminal case scenarios.
