Top Three Spots to Beat the Heat in Dallas this Fall

Top Three Spots to Beat the Heat in Dallas this Fall

While Texas is notorious for its triple-digit temperature days, Dallas has an array of places and activities to try with friends and families to help you stay cool in the coming months.

Thursdays on Tap at the Perot

The Perot Museum located in Downtown Dallas is a great spot to take friends and families and every Thursday is open after hours from 6-10 pm for those 21+. For $25 you can experience the Museum after hours with a variety of food truck options accompanied with wine and beer on tap. On average, experiencing all the exhibits takes about two hours with different themes for each floor such as Geology, Discovering Life, Sports, and Expanding Universe to name a few.

Painting With a Twist

Looking for a way to get your creative juices flowing while also enjoying the air conditioning inside? Painting with a Twist is a great option for a date night or time with friends only a few minutes outside of Downton Dallas. Grab a friend and pick which type of class you would like to do, paint your pet, try your hand at recreating a famous work of art, or freestyle it! While painting enjoy a nice cocktail or glass of wine (BYOB) with some salty snacks while your creative juices flow. Classes are offered Wednesday- Sunday nights and reservations can be made online.

Cooking Classes

For food lovers, Eataly Dallas offers cooking classes throughout the week for those trying out their kitchen skills for the first time or seasoned veterans. Classes are held at their Northpark location starting at $75/person with classes offered for lasagna, pizza, tiramisu, and others.

Each class is led by a Scoula Chef who teaches participants how to make Eataly’s famous pasta dishes, and each participant is also given two glasses of wine throughout the class. In addition, you are able to take home the recipe card and tasting notes to make the recipe at home!
